Secuna Platform UI and Design Foundations

Contributed to the design system and platform UI of a cybersecurity platform, helping establish consistent design foundations.

Secuna Platform UI and Design Foundations

Overview

Secuna is a cybersecurity platform that helps organizations identify and manage vulnerabilities through coordinated security testing and researcher collaboration.

I worked as a full-time designer, contributing to the early design system and platform UI.

The Problem

As the platform evolved, there was a need for a more consistent and scalable design approach.

This required:

  • establishing a shared design foundation
  • improving consistency across the interface
  • supporting a growing set of features

My Role

I worked as part of the design team, focusing on both system-level and product UI work.

  • Contributed to building the design system foundation
  • Designed parts of the platform interface
  • Helped ensure consistency across components and screens

Approach

The work involved balancing system thinking with practical UI needs.

  • Defined and refined UI components and patterns
  • Applied consistent spacing, typography, and layout rules
  • Worked closely with the team to align design decisions
  • Supported ongoing product development with UI improvements

Key Considerations

Since the platform deals with technical and security-related workflows, clarity and usability were important.

  • Making complex information easier to understand
  • Keeping interfaces structured and predictable
  • Ensuring consistency across different parts of the platform

Outcome

The design system foundation helped improve consistency and made it easier to scale the product interface.

The platform UI became more structured and cohesive as new features were introduced.
